Post 7: An Expert on your field
It's difficult for me to mention an expert that I
admire on my field or a teacher important in my formation as Social Worker. But
I consider a person important in my studies, as a social worker and personal
formation too, She is Judith Butler.
She is a
post-structuralism philosopher that
dedicates to investigate gender, feminism and queer theory. She was born
24th of February in 1956, in Cleveland, USA. She has written a lot of books,
for example, Gender Trouble or Bodies that Matter: on the Discursive Limits of
Sex.
I met her work in the university, because in the class
me and my classmates read her book. It was obligatory and I like her theory
proposes very much , as well as, I felt that theory can be useful for more than
only a class or academic formation. This year, she came to Chile to show a
seminary about gender and I could see her, this event motivated me to academic
development and in the future works in this topic with investigations from the
social work.
